I received a jar of Bodisafe Lip and Cheek Highlighter in Rustic Rose in my April 2016 Benevolent Beauty Box and really liked the product. I’m happy to have this product in a lighter shade. ‘Charmed’ is a light peachy-pink that I feel I’m going to have a lot of fun playing with. Below is ‘Charmed’ swatched in the most neutral light I could find in my house.
Like most people, I love a good multi-use product. I was excited to see this Suntegrity moisturizer/sunscreen/primer and couldn’t wait to try it. It’s slightly tacky and takes a bit of rubbing in so that your face isn’t pasty white. I really didn’t like this cream as a primer. My makeup smudged too much for my liking. Overall, it’s not a bad product, but I definitely need a separate makeup primer.
I don’t practice aromatherapy techniques, so I’m not sure what to use this oil for. It smells quite nice and I’ve used it a few times in place of perfume. According to the Zoe Organics website, it’s perfect for nausea and anxiety. I’ll have to try it out next time I feel queasy!
When I first opened the Molly Rose Balms lip scrub, it though that it was going to be to solid to do much to my lips, but I was wrong! This scrub has a delightful light citrus almond flavour and made my lips feel super smooth.
Being a person who has super dry hands, elbows, and ankles, I love a good body butter. The Tangerine Lime Nature’s Shea Butter has a wonderfully light scent and provides really nice hydration without feeling too greasy.
I was rather impressed with this toothpaste. I don’t like to switch up my toothpaste because I’ve tried so many gross ones over the year, but this toothpaste gives a really nice clean feeling with a moderately minty taste. It doesn’t leave a grainy texture in your mouth like some other toothpastes. This it the first cruelty-free toothpaste that left my mouth feeling fresh after using.
I’m currently in love with oil serums, especially for nighttime use. This serum by Modicum is fantastic! My face looks and feels so soft. It has an herbal scent that doesn’t overpower your senses and absorbs rather quickly. I think this is my favourite product in this box.
The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box costs $22.95 per month and contains 4-7 deluxe sized samples and full sized products. From my experience, a lot of what comes in the box is deluxe sized skin and hair care samples, which is good if you’re looking to try new things. Overall, I really like getting this box and feel like it’s worth the price.
