I really enjoyed the September Benevolent Beauty Box. I loved that this box included so many different types of items and all of them are great.
The September box included:
Bellapierre Shimmer Powder in ‘Earth’- RV $15
Bellapierre Eyeliner Duo- RV $25
Ecco Bella FlowerColor Lipstick in ‘Primrose’- RV $19.95 (Vegan)
gypsy SOUL organics ‘Sister Wind’- RV $19.99 (Vegan)
St. Tropica Hot Oil Hair Mask- RV $4.50 (Vegan)
Tat2u Makeup Tat2Lash Mascara- RV $16
Of the four possible Bellapierre Shimmer Powder shades chosen for the box, I received ‘Earth’. It’s a lovely pinky peach colour with golden brown undertones. I love this for a fall eye look and it provides just the right amount of shimmer without bordering on glittery. It’s pretty highly pigmented and blends nicely.
The Bellapierre Eyeliner Duo is so interesting to me. The Noir Eyeliner might be my new favourite liquid eyeliner. It has a stiff foam applicator that is perfect for sharp winged liner. The formula is very smooth, quick drying and lasts for a long time while also being easy to wash off at the end of the day. The Clear Eyeliner Base is awesome! This liner has a brush applicator. I love this product because I can use any pigment or pressed shadow as an eyeliner. I haven’t played around with the clear liner too much as of right now, but I feel like it’s going to help me use up eye shadows I’m not a huge fan of.
I was very happy to receive another Ecco Bella product after falling in love with the lip gloss from the May 2016 Petit Vour Beauty Box. The FlowerColor Lipstick in ‘Primrose’ is a sheer slightly coral mahogany shade. This lipstick applies very smooth and stays in place without a lip liner. This product is also very moisturizing and won’t dry out your lips.
I’m slowly getting into aromatherapy, so it was nice to receive gypsy SOUL organics ‘Sister Wind’. This product is a blend of eucalyptus, spearmint and sweet basil. I’ve been spraying this around my desk when I’ve feeling stressed and need a bit of a pick me up. I really love the scent. According to the product card, this spray is “uplifting” and will help “restore vitality” and bring “your creative spirit to the surface.”
It’s been so long since I used a hair mask. I’ve found that since I’ve stopped dyeing my hair that I don’t really need much more than a good conditioner to keep it moisturized. I did like the St. Tropica Hot Oil Hair Mask. The package is microwavable, but I put about a third of the contents of the pouch in a bowl to warm up because the whole package would have been too much product. After letting it sit for roughly 45 minutes, washing it out and drying my hair, my hair felt very soft and looked healthy and shiny. I didn’t notice much of a volumizing quality.
I’m always happy to try out a new mascara, especially since my favourite mascara was discontinued a few years ago. The Tat2u Makeup Tat2Lash Mascara has a straight applicator of medium length and thickness. This brush seems to tug on my lashes a bit when applying, but not in a painful or uncomfortable way. I feel like this product provides a good amount of volume and length without having to apply multiple layers.
Swatches of Ecco Bella FlowerColor Lipstick in ‘Primrose’ and Bellapierre Shimmer Powder in ‘Earth’ in natural daylight and warm indoor light.
