I was very happy with the Fall Quarterly Vegan Cuts Makeup Box. This season’s box contained four full sized products valued at $154. For only $39.95 per quarter, that a pretty awesome deal!
Juice Beauty PHYTO-PIGMENTS Liquid Lip in ‘Gwyneth’- RV $24
Au Naturale Organic Creme Eye Shadow in ‘Ivory’- RV $20
As soon as I opened the box for the Juice Beauty PHYTO-PIGMENTS Liquid Lip I noticed a ton of separation in the tube and no amount of shaking, tapping, and rolling seemed to get it fully mixed. Other than that, this is a really nice lip gloss. I’m not a huge fan of the doe foot applicator because I feel like it’s too bendy and is too thick at the tip to give me the precise lines I can get with a brush. The formula is super moisturizing, so it doesn’t dry out your lips at all. ‘Gwyneth’ is a rich berry shade that is so different than my mostly rosy pink collection of lip products. I’m not sure if all the shades have a slight staining quality, but this one will leave some colour on your lips after you remove it. This product is super pigmented and has just the right amount of shine/gloss. Since it doesn’t dry, you do need to reapply and it will transfer.
I don’t usually reach for cream eye shadows, but I’m really enjoying the Au Naturale Organic Creme Eye Shadow. It’s very soft and does not seem to crease like many other cream shadows I’ve tried in the past. ‘Ivory’ is a lovely beige/cream colour with the slightest of gold undertones. The shade is so close to my natural skintone that it’s perfect to use for a light or no-makeup-makeup look. The product packaging is super cute too.
So like an idiot, the first time I used the OFRA Cosmetics Illuminating Blush Stripes I thought to apply it like the rainbow highlighter trend that’s going on. That was such a bad idea. This product is so pigmented that even with a light hand, you’re still able to get so much product payoff. The dark brownish gold shade is super dark for my skin and I might have to use it as an eye shadow, but the other three stripes I can see myself using more often. This product is extremely shimmery- now I just need to be brave enough to play with extreme highlight!
It was amazing to receive another bottle of the Bellapierre Cosmetics HD Makeup Primer. I first got this product in the May 2016 Benevolent Beauty Box and have been using it on a pretty regular basis since August. This primer is a little thick, but does not feel heavy on your skin. I find that it really does provide a great base for long lasting makeup.
